I'm a Swedish high-school teacher with a physical and mental age of about 30, but my passport claims I'm older. I live alone with my beloved cat and feel a bit lonely sometimes, even though I'm basically a loner. (Not the scary type of loner, though.)

I decided as a child that I didn't want any children of my own and I haven't changed my mind, even though it meant the end of a long-time relationship. Some people seem to be provoked by a single woman living happily without children.

I've always read a lot of books and my home is filled with them. About a year ago, I discovered the world of fanfiction, especially Harry Potter, and I must admit that I've read fewer books since then. I've been reading stories on the net instead. I try to write my own fanfiction, mostly Snupin, but since I want to write the stories in English, I find that the language is a barrier. Maybe I'm just too critical of myself. I've got a university degree in English after all.

The character in Harry Potter that I resemble the most is probably Hermione. I'm a bit of a know-it-all, allthough I'm not insufferable! I'm interested in almost everything and have an excellent memory so facts that I read about just get stuck in my brain. I try not to bring too much attention to my knowledge, though. People don't like you if you know too much, especially if you're a woman.

I picked a marmot as my userpic because I've done a lot of hiking in the Alps and in the Canadian Rockies and I've had many encounters with the furry little things. My dream is to hike to the Everest Base Camp and if I can find the money, I will do it one day.
